Standard 100

What It Doesn't Cover

Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is NOT:

  • Organic certification
  • Environmental production standards
  • Labour condition certification

It certifies the final product is safe, not how it was made.

Product Classes

Testing varies by intended contact:

  • Class I: Baby products (strictest)
  • Class II: Skin contact (underwear, towels)
  • Class III: No skin contact
  • Class IV: Decoration materials

Towels typically fall under Class II.
